Although this is our (me and my dad) second construction experience.. We are still making a silly mistake. After learning from our mistakes, we laugh by murmuring to each other.
Today, the MS Work contractor noticed one such mistake while our second building’s main gate installation work was going on.
Here’s our conversation with him:
I went to the tiles shop to know the status of my tiles order for our old building reconstruction work.
While speaking to the tiles shop owner, he said, “Sir, there is half constructed building for sale near your house. Would you be interested in purchasing? If your not, then if anyone is interested, let them know about that building.”
I said, “OK.”
We dug Road (Mud road) to put the cable from the Electric pole to our House.
Our area Water Men came and saw and said – Sir; you are digging Road – did you took permission from authority? Or you will have to pay the penalty.
I said Nothing. I kept quite smiling at him.
We (me & our Dad) and our granite contractor were calculating how much we have to pay for granite and tiles laying charges.
We both took measurements 2 days before itself.
While calculating, we didn’t understand some calculations, so “we entered data based on our own understanding” and thought to discuss with our contractor later.
If you plan to construct your house, you may need to relocate from your current location in most cases. If that is the case, then read this article to consider my suggestion.
When you do any business, I highly recommend you to avoid dealing with bad people. I know no one likes to do business with bad people, but you couldn’t avoid working with bad people due to some circumstances.
I hope you already came across this line before. If not, make sure you read this post before hiring your friend/relative as a contractor. We ignored this line, and we paid for it.
I’m not talking about engineer building plan.. what I mean is, make sure you know what items to place in which location before you start building.
If you follow Vastu, make sure your design engineer follow Vastu. If you doubt, it’s better to consult other Vastu consultants before you begin your house construction.
Fortunately, when we started our house construction, we had a written contract with our Building Construction contractor. But we ignored all other contractors thinking other contractors will have less work, and we never made a written agreement with other contractors.
