Yesterday… I had to order cement. I just needed to order only 10 bags. Because our building is already in the finishing stage, the method I explained in cement pricing secrets won’t work in low quantity orders.
So I had no option but to look for a nearby cement seller.
It was afternoon… I took my bike to check pricing with all the local sellers. Here’s their response.
Although this is our (me and my dad) second construction experience.. We are still making a silly mistake. After learning from our mistakes, we laugh by murmuring to each other.
Today, the MS Work contractor noticed one such mistake while our second building’s main gate installation work was going on.
Here’s our conversation with him:
Yesterday I went to assist our relative in buying a laptop. While waiting for him, one incident happen.
I was waiting alone on the bus stop.
One guy came near me and asked, “do you know Kannada.” I replied, “yes.”
The guy started saying, “Sir, I was supposed to go xxxxx, but I lost money, and now I’m short of cash to get there. Can you please help me?“
I went to the tiles shop to know the status of my tiles order for our old building reconstruction work.
While speaking to the tiles shop owner, he said, “Sir, there is half constructed building for sale near your house. Would you be interested in purchasing? If your not, then if anyone is interested, let them know about that building.”
I said, “OK.”
It’s raining in Bangalore. Here is my tip today.
Collect rainwater and use it for construction work.
If your house construction work is happening during the rainy season and, if possible to collect rainwater, then collect it and use it for construction activity.
We are human; we forgot stuff.
At least it’s true for me.
If I don’t write it down, I usually forget the stuff.
When doing your house construction, if you have any special requirements related to any job, I recommend writing them down.
We dug Road (Mud road) to put the cable from the Electric pole to our House.
Our area Water Men came and saw and said – Sir; you are digging Road – did you took permission from authority? Or you will have to pay the penalty.
I said Nothing. I kept quite smiling at him.
Our NEW building painting work is going on.
The same painting contractor took another building painting contract. That other building owner is our friend itself, and their building is just behind our building.
Like every Contractor, he also Started their painting work and left working after a few days telling let other (Wood, Granite & Tiles) work get complete and then will start painting work or else again I need to do painting work.
