98% of our new building work is complete now. It’s still not fully done yet, but we finished things that are required to give it for rent.
Only outside work like – color painting, MS fabrication work, and road work are the few currently pending in the new building. But we still started to give it for rent instead of waiting for the House Warming function to get over.
Anytime you think about to PAUSE construction work for some days, you should remember one thing.
If you pause any ongoing work, usually what happens is contractors will assign laborers to another site.
Our granite contractor got a call from his previous customer saying.. “our friend wants to install parking tiles in their parking area. Can you go and do the work”?
He asked about the location, and after hearing it, he said – sir, it’s too far from my place. If possible, try other contractors like he informed them.
I called my previous Water level controller service provider, who installed an automatic water level controller in our old building to install it in my new building.
When I asked about the water level controller installation charge without WIRING, they told me ₹3,500.
I was shocked listening to the price.
In my previous building, the same company installed with wiring as well for ₹2,200.
Suddenly 2 people came with our granite contractor to our construction house at 10 Am.
No, no… not a severe issue.
Our granite contractor… “Sir, they have to see our granite work. Please give me the building keys so I can show the work?”
My dad. “OK., here are the keys”.
They went to see the granite work and returned after a few minutes to give back the keys.
All of them left now.
Yesterday our family went to one of my dad’s friends house warming ceremony.
Many of his friends came, and that event became like a get-together event for my dad and his friends.
My dad enjoyed that function by seeing all his old friends.
While my dad and his friends were having a conversation, one of his friends said he wanted to construct his house, so he usually started asking for some suggestions from us.
If anytime big festival comes and there are few things happen during your house construction time.
1) shortage of labor
2) work will stop
3) prices will go up
etc.,
Not for all festivals it happens. But during some BIG FESTIVALS, then those issues will occur.
For example, let’s consider “Ayudha Puja,” which happened on 4th Oct 2022 in Karnataka.
Yesterday… I had to order cement. I just needed to order only 10 bags. Because our building is already in the finishing stage, the method I explained in cement pricing secrets won’t work in low quantity orders.
So I had no option but to look for a nearby cement seller.
It was afternoon… I took my bike to check pricing with all the local sellers. Here’s their response.
Although this is our (me and my dad) second construction experience.. We are still making a silly mistake. After learning from our mistakes, we laugh by murmuring to each other.
Today, the MS Work contractor noticed one such mistake while our second building’s main gate installation work was going on.

Yesterday I went to assist our relative in buying a laptop. While waiting for him, one incident happen.
I was waiting alone on the bus stop.
One guy came near me and asked, “do you know Kannada.” I replied, “yes.”
The guy started saying, “Sir, I was supposed to go xxxxx, but I lost money, and now I’m short of cash to get there. Can you please help me?“
