Yesterday, we bought again another set of “wardrobe oval pipe end supports.” This is a clamp that is installed inside the wardrobe for holding steel pipe. The pipe where you hang your shirts on it. Our wall drop guy installed all plastic support to hold the pipe. Within a few years, all those plastic supports are broken. As and when they are breaking, we are replacing them individually, all by ourselves....
Water running on the main road. The house owner was inside the house. They are not aware of what’s happening outside… I saw this today while I was returning from our first house to the second house through the backside door after my breakfast. It’s happening in dad’s friend’s house. As we knew of them, I informed my dad to call and inform the uncle. He called and informed them about water was overflowing from their sump....
We made some terrible mistakes (at least in my point of view) in our first building, something related to wall drop. I came across that fact after few months of housewarming function. That, too, accidently. When I compared our wall drop, out of 3 wall drop, only 1 wall drop is good. The rest 2 of them are not. As for any mistakes, I realised this very late. Now, I cannot do anything about it apart from feeling bad....
Today, my work is filled with applying for a lot of credit cards. The reason is the discount we get when shopping online. Sometimes, I miss discounts due to not having that specific bank credit card. Few days back we met our first cement supplier when we went to vegetable shopping there. He started speaking to my dad and asking “why you are no longer doing business with us.” For your information, he not only sells cement and steel. He also has shamiyana and light items as well. Usually, for any of our functions, we used to order from his shop earlier. After realising the cement price difference between his shop and another secret shop, we stopped buying cement, steel and shamiana items from his shop....
Yesterday, my Mom and my wife went to a baby naming ceremony at the backside of our house. After finishing the function, both of them returned. I returned from my home office (new building) to our house (first house) to ask how the function was… Good. Both replied. While having a conservation, my wife informed me that they wanted to reconstruct their house. For your information, that house owner had 2 sons and 1 daughter....
A few days back, while I was writing the Rainy Days guide, I was collecting related images for a better explanation. Our building images I already have. I also tried to collect a few nearby building images who made similar mistakes in their house. I took images differently. I used Google Street Maps to take other building images. The reason is, how could I go in front of another house and take photos?...
When we went to the housewarming function shopping, we bought window and door curtains from Chikkapete. My dad roughly calculated the required curtains, and we bought only that many. We didn’t put those bought curtains immediately… We thought after the function we would put it as we postponed it. We kept postponing like this for almost 2 months. Later when we put in, we noticed some curtains shortage. Shortage in a sense....
It’s 5:52 PM. I came from our Old house to a new house to write some content for my house construction blog. While coming back, I noticed another house was almost ready. Now, labourers were preparing the Parking area. Again SAME MISTAKE. I can see the same mistake from my house’s backside itself… the mistake made by countless new house owners without realising it. Once all the work is done, and when they start using the house, they will realise the mistake....
When you trust the store owner, you may ask his opinion about the product or product quality… That’s normal. Is it a good practice? If you ask my opinion… You can ask their opinion if you need to. You should also keep one point in mind… Not all sellers genuinely recommend the right product to You. The reason is the Commission. Most sellers don’t care much about their reputation. They care about their margins in most cases....
