After taking the permanent connection a meter reader came to our new building to take readings. I was there right next to him. While he was taking the meter readings, he had to open the meter box and noticed our setup of the meter box. He said, “Sir, nicely and properly done meter box setup.” Me “Ya… my dad is an electrical engineer itself”, so it’s his plan. I’m not sure if all other houses have similar setup or not, but I do think it’s a must-have thing every house should have....

When you are ready to apply for a temporary connection, your electrical contractor usually asks how many kilowatts you need, or sometimes they even suggest recommended kilowatt that is required for you. Whatever the case, my suggestion is never to apply below 2 KW. The reason is… If you apply below 2KW and labourers must use 2 machines simultaneously, the temporary meter will automatically trip if the load exceeds the taken load....

This happened to us in our second building. We informed our electrical contractor that we need a temporary connection as we will start the construction work. Our contractor told let’s wait some more days. He told us like that to save money for us… because the earthwork takes time, so let’s manage like that as he informed. He also told me he would manage if anyone from the BESCOM department came....

If you want to know how much it would cost to maintain an inverter for home use. Here is my experience of owning it. Currently, we use a Luminous inverter and 2 luminous battery setups in our house. Inverter cost usually depends on the number of batteries you use. Most house owners use only 1 Battery setup, which is sufficient to maintain a few lights for a few hours. If you go with 1 battery setup, you cannot use a fan on it....

This happened in our first building. When it was time to implement the Inverter setup in our first building. Our electrical contractor said this was not included in the contract, so he didn’t do that work. That was discussed while discussing the contract, but the contractor said not discussed. So he didn’t do that work. After all the building work, we hired another electrician to implement the Inverter setup. This happned in 2018....

Yesterday, my brother and I were filling distilled water to our inverter battery. That time I remembered what mistake I could have made if I placed an inverter inside our house. If it’s for rental property, then it’s ok. If it’s for your own house, I don’t recommend keeping the Inverter setup inside your house. There are various reasons behind it. I’m not going to mention all of those here…...
