Last Sunday all our family members went to my brother’s wife’s home. In their house, I have one favourite place to spend my time. It’s in the first-floor sit-out area where one single-seater swing is installed. I love to spend most of the time there because of the natural ventilation, and I love playing with that swing chair… While playing, I noticed something looked different on their sit-out area flooring....
When you are building your house, you will have a lot of steel rod pieces. Some may sell those rods when a scrap vehicle comes, thinking it won’t be required anymore. Don’t make such a mistake. You may need those steel rods till completion of your building construction work. You obviously don’t need all those pieces. But I’m sure you will need a few for one or other work. Keep those with you....
Fancy lights add a premium look to your brand-new house. But before you buy, you should consider a few things… This was a few years back incident. Our relatives constructed a brand new duplex house… Like many, they are also interested in making little shiny for their new house. They bought a bigger fancy light for the hall (Chandelier). You need these items from your building contractor till the housewarming function is over. Sometimes, your contractor takes these items as soon as the work is over if you don’t ask them to keep them. Other times, they will inform you they will bring back when you need them and take back their items....

While distributing our housewarming invitation card, we went to one of our relative’s houses. Who was staying in the rental property. As soon as we saw the house, we were impressed. It’s a brand new building… and that too for rental property. It was a very well-designed building. We told the same to our relatives as well. They told us we could not make this type of look to our house....
Today at around 11:20 PM, the BESCOM meter reader started calling, “Sir.. sir… are there in the house?” standing in front of the house. My Dad and I were there in the hall. I opened my CCTV app on my mobile to double-check he was calling us only. After seeing him in front of our gate, I got confirmed. I got confused seeing him today. Because today is not meter reading day, but the meter reader is calling us....

When you start enquiring about building contractors, you will be quoted different labour prices. Some contractors quote a little higher than other contractors for some reason. Site marking is one of the beginning house construction activities done by your building contractor. Once you finish Bhoomi/Gudali Pooja, you will do the site cleaning and leveling by JCB or manual labour. If you already did this work before Gudali Pooja, you don’t need to do that again.
