Today, my brother and I were going on my bike to bring estamp paper to make a rental agreement for our tenants. While going, I took the internal route so I could see new construction works. In my area, lots of construction work is going on… so anywhere I look, there is always some construction activity. Buildings are built and are sold like fast-moving food in a hotel. Anyway, while going, I saw a new house with plinth beam work going on....
We reached around 2 am Bangalore from the Rameshwarm trip. That time, we took our friend’s vehicle, and he also came with us. He knows how to drive his car. He is not an expert, but he drives his car. But the funny thing is my friend doesn’t park his SUV inside his house parking space. 🙂 He needs an expert driver to park… He took a test with my brother before he gave us his car for our trip....
I strongly believe that “everyone makes mistakes in their first house construction”. I did it… Many of my dad’s friends did the same in their new building. There is another instance I noticed recently near my house. Right in front of my home office window, one building construction is happening… I didn’t understand who the owner of that building was for a few days. Now that the building’s ground floor moulding is over, I see one guy coming daily for RCC curing....
This Saturday, I met my Dad friend’s son in front of our house. I informed him about parking his car elsewhere; I could not tolerate seeing his brand-new car spoiling due to sunlight. He understood my concern and told - Yes, I’m aware of the issue. I already noticed some car paint damaged. This conservation happened in the morning, and he took immediate action in the evening. He decided to park his car inside his parking space....
It’s 5:52 PM. I came from our Old house to a new house to write some content for my house construction blog. While coming back, I noticed another house was almost ready. Now, labourers were preparing the Parking area. Again SAME MISTAKE. I can see the same mistake from my house’s backside itself… the mistake made by countless new house owners without realising it. Once all the work is done, and when they start using the house, they will realise the mistake....
Near our house, one father built a house for their daughter. They built that house taking extreme care. They used all quality materials. They take care of all the house-related quality checks. There was no way it was built for sale. All nearby users can see the efforts their family is putting into that building. It was a premium building. They used only premium quality items in it. Anytime I go outside, I must pass in front of the building as it is built on the right next to the main road....
My dad’s friend started their house construction right behind our house. It’s visible from our home. When I noticed the same parking issue they were making, I decided to guide them about this mistake. Instead of going and telling them the problem, I informed my dad to visit and requested to inform them the consequences of the mistake they were making. Both their son and uncle listened to my dad’s FREE advice....
Our engineer didn’t guide us, nor did our building contractor. It’s an experience that I gained from the rental property that we stayed before. I’m thankful for that property. If they hadn’t made such a mistake on their property and I didn’t practically face such an issue myself, then I don’t think we would have taken care of that mistake in our building. I don’t think our engineer or building contractor bothered to explain to avoid making that mistake....
Today, I was going on a bike to withdraw cash to give to our maid. I was watching houses while going… I don’t understand one thing. That thing I’m not going to reveal here. It’s precious and important, which is not worth revealing here. It’s reserved for our Paid members. Of all the houses I watched, only very few followed the tip on my mind. This is one of the stupidest mistakes any new house builder will make....
