My Rameswaram Trip Experience

Last week I went on a Rameshwarm trip. Few back I’m back to my home. After taking enough breaks, I’m writing this email. This trip is a pretty new experience for me. I went on some trips… Most are day trips or local trips organised by someone who knows the place. This time, it’s a completely different experience. All of us are pretty new to the places we visited. We took our own vehicle driven by my brother....

How Material Suppliers Cheat

When you are doing your house construction lot of contractors, labours do lot of things if you are not aware of the possible scam that can happen with you. I recently came across one such video on my facebook account. I thought to share this video so you will be aware of such incidents. Here is the video link: https://www.facebook.com/Vijayatimeskannada/videos/796087938458553/ In the above video you can see how labours dumping only 75% of the sand and taking remaining 25% with them…...

Dont Buy Wooden Doors Without Knowing This

When ordering main doors, everyone just thinks about the wood they use in the door and the design of the door. This is how first-time users always think… Nothing wrong with that. But I have something to share if you are a beginner in construction. Because, in most cases, you won’t be aware of what I will share. This is one of the important points I recommend every user keep in mind while buying readymade wooden doors, ordering custom-made wooden doors in shops, or giving wood to your carpenter to make your door....

When 400 Volts Comes This Happens

At around 5:30 PM, a few tenants started complaining their charges burnt out when they put for charging. When my dad checked in the meter box, he noticed 400 to 500 volts coming. We immediately switched off the Main incoming power supply to prevent further damage. Within a few minutes of testing, my DAD informed me it was a Neautral Fault issue. So I called our electrician to come immediately at night time....

Worst Fan Company

After fixing one of the tenant’s fan issues recently, I decided to share the incident below. At the end of our house construction, we went to buy a ceiling fan for our rental property. We shop for all our construction-related products in the hardware shop we went to. Me and my dad simply asked the shop owner which brand fan we would buy like… He suggested some well-known brands, and I checked online to see that the product got a 40K+ rating on Flipkart, so I ordered around 26 fans of that brand....

My Friends Dad Daily Task

One of my friend’s houses is near our house. I used to see this friend’s house from our house until now. Another construction work is going on between our buildings, so I cannot see their house these days. After dinner, when I come from the first house to the second house through the back door, I notice one thing in my friend’s house on most days. His father slowly comes down from the first floor just to turn off the light daily....

A Screws thing you need to aware of

Yesterday, one of our tenants had his fan stop working. My brother, my dad and I went to check there. When my brother removed the switch plate, he shared “why they used this type of screw “. Below is the image of Original/manufacturer Screws: It’s a valid point. The reason is they are not easy to operate screws. I had a similar incident happen a few months back. In my home office, I needed to change some switch orders....

Outdoor Lights Automation Doesn't Cost Much

When it comes to doing any kind of automation in the home, you might think it’s a costly thing and need separate service providers to do that. On one level, that’s true. If you are going to use sensors and want to automate inside the house, then you need a different team, and it costs more to implement. For my Outdoor Light Automation setup, you don’t need such automation experts to implement....

I Tried China Made IoT Switch for Outdoor Light Automation

While I started implementing the automation switch to my parking light, one device I tried was – the Sonoff switch. It requires the internet to work. That’s not an issue in my house, as I properly planned everything and can get a Wi-Fi signal anywhere I want in my building. It was working fine. However, the problem with the device is that it did not last longer because of voltage issues....
